Acai Power Cleanse Overview
The latest buzzword in the health industry is ‘superfoods’, a group of foods that have powerful anti-oxidant and anti-aging properties. Acai berry is one such food and is the main selling-point of many cleansing products such as Acai Power.
The Acai Power Cleanse website is almost identical to that of another product, Acai Pure, including the layout, graphics and color. Like this other site, Acai Power uses pictures of certain celebrities, suggesting that they all use the acai berry as a way to detoxify and lose excess weight. The site also features television logos (ABC and CBS for example) and a picture of Oprah Winfrey, all of which have discussed the potency of the Acai berry, but have not actually named Acai Power cleanse as a recommended product.
There is not a lot of useful information on the site. It consists of two customer testimonials which, although feature before and after pictures, are not necessarily Acai Power users according to the small print. There is a reasonably good FAQ section, but no evidence of clinical trials that have been performed on either Acai Power or any of its ingredients.
Details Of Acai Power Cleanse
The manufacturers of Acai Power Cleanse make a lot of claims for their product, stating that not only can it enable the user to flush away unwanted pounds but also that it can eliminate toxins, help cure bad breath and increase energy. Again, no clinical trials are available to back up these claims. However, the product does include some good ingredients although because they are contained in a proprietary blend, the actual amounts do not appear on the product label.
Psyllium husk and cascara sagrada are in Acai Power, both of which help the elimination and cleansing process. The remainder of the blend consists of ginger, rhubarb, buckthorn, goldenseal, licorice and of course acai, which helps increase immunity, fight free-radicals and work as digestive aids.
The dosage instructions for Acai Power are very simple. The user starts by taking one capsule on day one, increasing the dosage to a maximum of three per day. Each bottle of Acai Power contains 60 bottles, which, if taken at the maximum dose would obviously not last a whole month.

Acai Power Cleanse – The Bottom Line
Despite the reasonably inexpensive cost of this product ($39.99 per bottle) there are too many questionable aspects for it to be recommended. Often when an identical product is advertised under a different name it indicates that the company has received complaints against them, or that the product simply doesn’t work as well as claimed.
Although the acai berry is certainly a good addition to the diet, there is absolutely no evidence that a product such as this would have any cleansing or detoxifying effects whatsoever.
