Colon Blow Overview

The makers of Colon Blow use humor as their main marketing tool. It is a risky thing to do as one the one hand, it might make the consumer feel better about admitting they need such a product, on the other hand, it is easy to dismiss Colon Blow as a joke and not to be taken seriously. The company however, does seem genuinely interested in colon health and welcomes any feedback from their customers. Their website even offers Colon Blow merchandise including t-shirts, shorts and hats, encouraging their users to be proud of their proactive action towards their health.

The rest of the Colon Blow website is very simple and modern looking – bound to attract younger prospective consumers. They market the product as a ‘no-nonsense, all natural and somewhat aggressive approach’ to colon cleansing. There is not a lot of information surrounding colon health and the company des not use any scare-mongering tactics to push the product. They do present the facts about why you might need the product in a very straightforward way, claiming that however healthy your lifestyle, most people at some time will require a good colon cleansing. There is a FAQ section which, again, offers answers in a straightforward manner and a huge list of customer written and photo testimonials.

This product is designed to be taken in a 24-hour period. The website offers a handy timeline illustration which shows the recommended way the product should be taken, but it really would be up to the individual. They also offer three different ways to take the product in terms of its effectiveness. For optimum results it should be taken whilst consuming nothing more than liquids. A more balanced way, is to eat lightly, and finally the least ‘explosive’ is to continue eating meals as normal. Either way, the product, a powder and capsules, is taken three times and can be repeated in as little as ten days later and up to a period of sixty days. It is highly recommended, even essential, to consume as much liquid as possible during the cleanse.

The ingredients in the powder are very few. It is basically psyllium husk, natural plant flavors and stevia, a natural sweetener. The list for the capsule ingredients is somewhat longer, the main substances being two types of cascara sagrada and senna, plus figs, prunes and magnesium. According to one independent website, Colon Blow contains twice the usual amount of cascara sagrada and senna than most other products, one of the reasons why it is so aggressive. There are no warnings on the Colon Blow website regarding the caution that should be taken with these substances. As for the powder, it is very similar to Metamucil, an over the counter laxative, which is also made up primarily of psyllium husk seeds.

Colon Blow – The Bottom Line

There is no doubt that with the ingredients in this product that it would live up to it’s name. However, it would probably require that the user make no plans during the 24-hour period it is taken, particularly due to the fact that they may be on a liquids only diet. It would probably be recommended that the first time user start with the less aggressive plan and proceed with caution, working up slowly to the optimal results program.
