Acai and Colon Cleanser – Basic Facts

By - Updated Oct 18, 2014

The usage of colon cleansing techniques date back thousands of years, as even practitioners of ancient medicine understood that a link existed between the health of the overall body and the colon itself. The colon has a direct link to the central nervous system, and can determine not only general feelings of health, but it can also be the trigger for a variety of diseases, including most infamously colon cancer. There are different options available, including the use of natural supplements like acai and colon cleanser techniques that are administered both orally and as a direct flushing of the colon.

Acai and Colon Cleanser

The reason acai is used in colon flushing techniques is because the berry is rich in both antioxidants and nutrients. Because of these nutrients, acai can help rejuvenate the colon and remove toxin buildup that could be caused by an accumulation of fecal matter or harmful bacteria. Often acai is implemented along with a number of other colon cleansing nutrients that range from green tea to specific herbal infusions. Some of the benefits of acai and colon cleanser techniques include immediate reports of renewed energy, the curing of digestive ailments like constipation, or even a boosted immune system that allows a person to begin naturally fighting off seasonal colds and flu.

The acai berry itself is often considered a “superfood” and the benefits of the berry are found around mainstream media, often discussed on TV shows like “Dr. Oz”. The berry is found on a species of South American palm, and the blue fruit is similar to a plump grape. Traditionally, the acai berry has been used in folk medicine with ancient South American roots, and such medicine is still implemented today in the form of tonics and elixirs designed to treat a number of different ailments. However, no proper scientific evidence exists to verify these claims and acai and colon cleanser techniques that utilize the berry should not be considered an alternative to proper medical treatment.

However, acai and colon cleanser techniques could be an extremely beneficial natural supplement to your diet. Using acai means flushing your body out with the berry’s strong antioxidant properties. An antioxidant is a phytochemical that directly eliminates free radicals, or rogue oxygen molecules that could be attributable to a number of different diseases, from cancer to early aging. In addition, the benefit of using a colon cleansing solution with acai is that it also fortifies your body with a full assortment of vitamins and minerals also found in the berry. Taking all this into consideration, ask your dietician if a colonic cleansing regiment is right for you.
