Colon Treatment: Colon Cleansing Treatment to Prevent Colon Cancer

By - Updated Jun 29, 2018

Colon can be the root of several diseases, including deadly ones like cancer. One of the many problems encountered in the colon are left out toxins and waste. There are many ways to know whether your colon has ill-condition.

These include headaches, fatigue, bad breath, irritability, bloating, and PMS. In the very first sign of colon problem, the individual should immediately consult the health care provider. One of the best colon treatments that a doctor will recommend is colon cleansing.

Cleansing

What is Colon Cleansing?

You should understand that the main function of the colon is to re-absorb nutrients and water towards the body. It is also responsible in eliminating toxic wastes through usual bowel movements. However, when the bowel is impacted, problems flood the colon such as hemorrhoids, constipation, ulcerative colitis, and even colon cancer. According to study, most adults have 5 to 40 pounds of compacted waste in the bowels.

Colon cleansing, as one of the best colon treatments, can take away the left out debris and can help prevent the colon from serious health problems.

It is recommended that there be a regular cleansing of the colon, both small and large intestines. There are five major methods that can clean the colon: Colon Hydrotherapy, Enemas, Laxatives and Oxygen-based Cleansers.

Each of these treatments has pros and cons. It is for you and your doctor to judge what is the best procedure for your colon.

Colon Hydrotherapy

Colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation is a process wherein warm and filtered water is gently fused into your colon via the anus, using disposable plastic tubing. With the nature of this procedure, this should only be administered by professional and credited individuals.

Colon Hydrotherapy

This procedure can be done with oxygen based cleanser. With this, the body can be rid of impacted toxins in both intestines. There are home use systems of this procedure but it should, again, be performed by a professional.

Enemas

Enemas have been used by doctors to treat constipation for many centuries now. The main action of this treatment is removing the unwanted material from the lower part of the colon. However, because it’s focused on the lower portion only, it is unable to melt away the compaction.

Nonetheless, this treatment is very effective in emptying the rectum (understandably because the rectum is the lowest portion of the colon). The main types of this procedure are water enemas, clay enemas, and coffee enemas.

Laxatives

Laxatives are actually an alternative treatment only. It can clear out toxins from the body but it cannot clean the whole colon. These things do not touch any compaction in the intestines. This treatment can be effective temporary therapy for constipation, though.

Oxygen-Based Colon Cleansers

One of the best colon treatments is the oxygen-based colon cleansers. This cleansing method uses specialized ozonated magnesium oxide, a substance known to reduce solid toxic mass into gas or liquid matters. This process can clean the whole intestines, both the small and the large.
